Hewitt’s book is a easy to understand guide to basic music theory, for DJ’s and producers. If you’re just starting out producing, I recommend this book as a good guide to give you a solid foundation in music theory.
The book comes with a CD to illustrate key concepts, and makes the process a lot easier.

The way Australians buy music is about to be revolutionised, with major labels set to offer thousands of songs to customers for a small monthly fee.
From October, families will be able to pay about $10 a month to access thousands of favourite tunes via the internet.
“It’s about to become a service, a commodity like water where it is piped into your home,” said Phil Tripp, a music industry expert from Sydney.
